Indian GeoInformatics Centre

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology can be used for scientific investigations, natural resource management, and development planning. For example, a GIS might be used for town planning applications, or a GIS might be used to find wetlands that need protection from pollution.

Indian Geoinformatic Centre offers GIS training courses to provide for diverse GIS training needs of different user communities. The structure of our programs gives the user an option to pace his learning or combine different modules to have an extended GIS training experience.
